[ale] Linux 2.6.0 Kernel Released

I got the mod-init-tools working fine.  I still have a few issues.  To
compile the 2.6.0 kernel I copied my .config from 2.4.22 and did a make
oldconfig.  I then did the compile.

1.  Mount is telling me that vfat is not supported.  The only way
    to make vfat work is to do a modprobe vfat.

2.  My usb 6-in-1 is not being seen anymore.  

Maybe devfs is needed?  I'm using a default RH 9 install as my desktop.
