<loads of stuff snipped out>
The best way to do a dual boot with XP is to wipe the drive, partition
the drive with fips, install XP on the first partition using NTFS for
stability, or fat32 if you must access the filespace from Linux (a
better way is to make a third partition that is fat32 so both XP and
Linux can see it OK), then install Linux on the blank partition. RedHat
will automatically setup the XP in grub for a bootup choice.
**NOTE** XP Home is not an OS. It is an abomination designed for the
single purpose of forcing everyone to buy all new software and hardware.
It is a sloppy, unruly, surely piece of feces that should not be
installed anywhere on any thing for any reason EVER.
XP Professional, despite its new look and feel, is an improvement in
some areas over Win2kPro. But, out of purely professional ethics, I
refuse to install it on any hardware that I own.
