We knew that going in - but one thing that many people overlook is, it
doesn't matter if they don't guarantee uptime - if their downtime is
unreasonable *for you*, then all you have to do is play the 'squeaky wheel'
and I 'guarantee' ;) you that you will get a reasonable credit on your
account - I have done it, even with Bellsouth (haven't needed to for our
office account, it's been that good).  And if they refuse, you go elsewhere,
and refuse to pay the last months bill, and sue them in small claims court
if they try to cause you credit problems by claiming you owe them anything -
you will win, because contract law *requires* that there be consideration
given on *both sides*, *even if* the contract says one party doesn't have to
provide anything.

As I said in an earlier email, we gota lot more, when compared to the
options with 'guarantees'.

And again, I *know* that we are/were lucky, and that this isn't something
that is consistently reproducible...
