[ale] /bin/bash wierdness...

Hi everyone.  I'm still quite the newbie, and I have a shell question.

My bash prompt used to show up like this:

[keith at kitchen keith]$

now it shows up like this:

bash-2.05b$

I haven't noticed any changes in functionality, just the prompt change. 
It's not that important, it's just that I hate not knowing why it
changed or how to change it back.  Any ideas?
