[ale] multiple ips, ensim and Apache....

try:

/sbin/ip a ls

as root.

They may be using another type of virtual interface that ifconfig cannot
handle.  I am assuming this is a linux based device...

ifconfig cannot handle alot of the new functionality that is present in the
new linux networking code, stuff like multiple IP's per interface, QoS, and
things like NIC bonding.  Thats what ip and tc are for :).  Redhat (and
possibly others) have actually started to switch over to using ip instead of
ifconfig as its a more comprehensive interface to the system and its more
modern.  Take a look at the initscripts on your machine and see if they are
using it for a real good example of how it works.  I personally switched over
to using it about a year ago for things like querying my interfaces IP's and
such because its a much more versitle tool then ifconfig.
