Jeff,

I haven't heard that one before. I used to be a member of SMPTE so I found
it to be very funny.

John,

I concur with Jeff, that "Monster" brand cables seem to be rather pricey.
Monster made their name by making low DC resistance cables used to connect
speakers to audio amplifiers.

Monster eventually leveraged their brand name and branched out into other
cables. An NTSC signal is a low current 1 volt Peak to Peak signal so the
primary characteristic your looking for is good shielding and correct
impedance.

If you want more information on NTSC:

Plus here are some corrections to my last email, (shows you what happens
when you don't work with a particular technology for about 20 years).

The color burst frequency is 3.58 MHz not 3.8 MHz.
The color burst is located on the back porch not the front porch.
