I've actually seen a reader that handles both flash and memory stick,
but I've not had any experience with it. My Sony camcorder has memory
stick and usb. I've successfully pulled images from the memory stick
that way, but that's kinda expensive 'reader' if you've already got a
camera using memory stick. :) On my wish list is a usb memory stick
reader, so that I don't have to lug the camera to my office (in the
basement) to pull the images off if it.
When I was trying to get my Sony camera to work, I was subscribed to the
usb list. It was quite helpful and I'd expect that one could get
further info regarding memory stick readers.

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
