The code on Monster is still extremely crufty from the days of seat-of-the-
pants coding back in the mid-90s. Their re'sume' editing feature is
horrible; if you're making frequent edits, you eventually get a "string
overflow" error, and apparently only cleaning out your cache will fix it.

I've never worked there or even knew anyone that did; I can just tell that
they're basically using the same core codebase as back in the early days
(though their front-end has gone through some changes), and I'd bet that
they don't have the resources to fix any but the most severe of defects, so
something like a more sensible URL for individual job postings is probably
low priority for them these days.
