[ale] With Linux?

I did see something one about  VOIP (not VIOP) being
released for Linux in open source. wouldn't this just make
this device more obsolete?

I dunno, I have a box that does this very thing and it and
the "Internet
long distance" software it came with are at least 5 yrs old.
I think
the whole thing has pretty much slipped under the radar.
