When I
first got into this field in 95. I accepted 19K a year. But, it was
much better than unloading trucks at RPS during ATL hot
summers.

How
cheap is cheap?

Two
years ago, a good Unix admin can get 70-80K easily. Now,
they

The
dot com bust actually demonstrates how valuable it is to have

science.

I
don't have specific recommendations. There are, however, a lot
of

Jobs?
I've been looking for a new job in the *nix
field for about a month and a half now...unfortunately, I have no college
degree whatsoever nor previous job experience in a related field, so
literally *none* of my emails have ever been even so much as
answered.
Â
I wondered if anybody else has been in this
situation, and if so, how you got started? Any good places to look
for entry level positions in, say, a PHP programming field?
Â
Advice muchly appreciated!
