DISCLAIMER: I have no experience dealing with this firm, either positive
or negative.

I would seek two kinds of information:

(1) Linuxgruven ought to have statistics on their students' rate of
success passing the certification tests. Ask for a report on this:
written, not just hand-waving by thei rep.

(2) Check with headhunters and employment advertisers who mention Linux,
whether they have openings for individuals with those credentials, and
what the total requirements are for the openings which list these
certifications.

Many newspapers (including the AJC) and the major job sites provide
keyword searches of their postings (i.e., search on Linux, or on the
certificate designations). It the certifications don't appear in their
ads, you'll still need those other credentials to get far enough to even
mention your certification to a headhumter, much less to a prospective
employer.

You might also check the 'careers' sections of web sites for mainstream
suppliers who are now offering Linux support or pre-installs, such as
Compaq, Dell, and IBM, as well as for Linux houses such as VALinux,
TurboLinux, and RedHat.

If Linuxgruven is meeting an employers' need, other sources will reflect
that the need exists.
