Did you tried rerunning lilo on the new disk?  I wouldn't trust ghost
to copy the lilo installation.  If you didn't do it, just running lilo
might work.

Also, did you check that the boot image is in the first gig of the new
disk?  Some Bioses require that.  Mostly older ones.
