If you are using a machine that uses the Award BIOS, there are some
settings in the PNP and PCI Setup that allow you to set an IRQ for each PCI
slot. I think you could possibly use this to force an IRQ per card thus
allowing these cards to co-mingle....Maybe....

Upon further investigation, I get conflicts with the 3dfx card if more
than two PCI cards are used. So, I can either use the NIC or the sound
card, but not both. I still probably need to tinker with the BIOS a
bit. BTW, here's some /proc stuff to mull over if anyone can help.
