[ale] 3dfx card conflict

Upon further investigation, I get conflicts with the 3dfx card if more
than two PCI cards are used. So, I can either use the NIC or the sound
card, but not both. I still probably need to tinker with the BIOS a
bit. BTW, here's some /proc stuff to mull over if anyone can help.
