First, let me say that it would be a great leap forward in the Linux world
if we could rid ourselves of LILO. That being said, have you tried
changing the "boot=" parameter to /dev/hda? Also, sometimes it is
necessary to add the command "linear" to the global settings if you have
scsi drives
