[ale] ghostscript problems

Sounds like you print differently than I. I've always made sure I
install the ghostscript, ghostview and nenscript packages. Then I set
up my printer in Printer Configuration in the control-panel. The nice
thing about this is the printer configuration tool has a test feature
that gives you instructions on the printout on what to change if it
doesn't look right. 

Are you piping your postscript files into ghostscript to print. Didn't
know you could do this (tell me more.) I never print directly using
gs, but print from ghostview. Never any problems. You may be trying to
acomplish something entirely different from what I'm envisioning here.
