1.       
(MUST HAVE)  Linux High Performance Clustering (Sungrid- the grid processing software in use today in HPC)

2.       
(MUST HAVE)  Excellent interpersonal skills.  Strong written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.  Daily interaction with customer and multiple data center staff.   This is done in person, over the phone, and via email.  

3.       
Familiar with Internet and Internet2

4.       
Familiar with Network and Firewall technologies

5.       
Familiar with file Transfer Technologies (vsftpd, global-url-copy, ascp, transitory data storage)

 

 

Experience in the following is a plus

 

Languages Perl, Python, C

Familiarity with Hadoop

Familiarity with Openstack

Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and 2008 

Familiarity with Enterprise Storage Area Networks using Hitachi arrays 

Familiarity with VMWare Enterprise ESX hosts

Familiarity with CommVault Simpana Backup Software
