SYSTEMS ENGINEER - CONTRACT TO PERM - ATLANTA, GA (Midtown)


Systems Engineer Skills & Requirements:


  *   Bachelor s degree with a major course of study in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent experience
  *   3+ years of recent experience working in a DevOps capacity in a production cloud/automated environment
  *   5+ years overall development/technical support experience Skills Desired
  *   Advanced troubleshooting skills in a Linux-based environment
  *   Knowledge of large-scale web delivery - Experience with AWS EC2 and/or Rackspace service provisioning
  *   Understanding and usage of Atlassian tools: Bamboo/JIRA/Confluence
  *   Curiosity for understanding and learning complex systems
  *   Ability to diagnose and resolve product, software and performance issues independently
  *   Experience with NoSQL DB concepts (key-value, document store)
  *   Complete understanding of toolsets necessary to debug, identify and resolve site issues
  *   Deep knowledge of automated deployment tools such as Chef or Puppet
  *   Ability to see opportunities for improvement, take ownership and closely work with development team to drive product improvement
  *   Strong knowledge of Nginx/Apache web server and Tomcat container configuration
Plus:

  *   Knowledge of Lucene/Solr, ElasticSearch
