Our client is searching for a Unix System Administrator to join their team.  As the UNIX Administrator, you will support the company's web environment, server infrastructure, and understands network topology and load balancing. You will be responsible for applying frequent application software promotes, troubleshooting issues, installing hardware and software, attending meetings, and working with development teams. Communicate and works effectively with multiple application teams and cross platform teams, quickly understand technical requirements, and manage the input and opinions from a diverse group of users, peers and managers.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

  *   Bachelor's Degree
  *   5-7 years of hands-on experience with AIX or Red Hat Linux is required
  *   5-7 years of system administration with a significant percentage of this time involved in AIX or Linux server hardware and software maintenance
  *   Experience with IBM P-series, SAN devices, and F5 are a real plus
  *   Experience in X-series servers, virtualization, web applications, IBM Http Server or Apache web servers, shell scripting, IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, and NAS are all a plus
  *   Excellent verbal and written communications (candidate will be in meetings and conference calls regularly)
  *   Experience communicating with upper management and the ability to accept direction from multiple management styles
  *   Understands and explores new technologies
  *   Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  *   Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
  *   Demonstrated track record of delivering quality work under tight deadlines
