Position Description:
The Platform Services Group supports Linux, Windows, A/S400 and Oracle software development utilizing Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies, engineering and utilizing state-of-the-art system operations, deployment, testing, monitoring and configuration management automation techniques.
This team participates in the planning & deployment of large-scale system projects, engineering and architecture. Additionally the Sr. Engineer is responsible for the development of interface applications, evaluating new products and system problem resolutions.  The Platform Services engineer will be developing and supporting all non-production environments in collaboration with Development, Engineering and Systems Operations groups.
Ongoing and upcoming projects include: Automation projects (Puppet, Cucumber, etc); Cloud projects; Application as a Service; Software as a Service; Netflix/asgard, Chaos Monkey, push button & blue green deployment projects, etc...
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Skills & Experience:
*         4+ years' experience managing Linux platforms - Red Hat & Suse
*         Experience with Satellite, Puppet, Kickstart automated tools is a plus
*         Experience with JBOSS & Tomcat
*         Experience with OS virtualization using VMware and some Hyper-V
*         Familiarity with load balanced (BigIP) & clustered operating system and software configurations
*         Knowledge of Configuration Management tools and methodologies
*         Service oriented mindset of partnering and providing services to IT & Business
*         Ability to understand critical business functions and map them against core Linux features towards providing support for Web/App/Database tiers
*         Positive Attitude & open to change and new technologies
