Administrator in New York City*



 *Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:*

   - Installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting Linux
   systems, and documentation.
   - Candidate will lead as SA representative on various projects.


 *Requirements:*

   - 8 - 10 years hands on experience with Linux (Redhat, OEl,...)
   - Possess great people skills (must be able to interact with other
   technical groups), and must be able to work independently.
   - Great problem solving skills are a must.
   - Understanding of SDLC, and version control using CVS/Git or equivalent.
   - Working knowledge of popular programming languages such as Java, C, PHP
   - Familiarity with open source tools, monitoring systems, hardware
   troubleshoot, tracking, resolution, and routine maintenance with security
   updates
   - Perform installations/patching of operating system, software
   installation, and system backups - data recovery
   - Respond to Systems alerts; perform root cause analysis, perform
   on-call support as a level 2/3 escalation for production challenges.
   - Possess great people interpersonal skills, and be able interact
   professionally with team member
   - Must be able document and follow operational procedures
   - Dark datacenter administration experience at a co-location facility
   - Degree in Computer Science or related technical degree or equivalent
   experience.

 Knowledge of storage concepts are a must (LVM or equivalent)

   - Thorough knowledge of kickstart, and virtualization concepts ( Xen,
   VMware)
   - Thorough understanding and troubleshooting Perl, shell, python.
   - Working knowledge of popular programming languages such as Java, C, PHP
   - Familiarity with open source tools, monitoring systems, hardware
   troubleshoot, tracking, resolution, and routine maintenance with security
   updates
   - Perform installations/patching of operating system, software
   installation, and system backups - data recovery
   - Respond to Systems alerts, and perform root cause analysis and
   participate in an on-call rotation.
   - Degree in Computer Science or related technical degree or equivalent
   experience
   - Configure DNS, Mail services.
   - Knowledge of cfengine (setup, configuration, deploy)



 *Really Big Pluses:*

   - EMC/3Par knowledge a plus.
   - Load balance concept with netscaler/BigIP/Cisco/Foundry
   - Network administration (Cisco/Foundry)
   - Packaging experience using RPM.
   - Experience with cloud computing services (For example EC2, a plus)
   - Knowledge of Redhat cobbler
