This group primarily works with internal customers (Enterprise Technology). The consultant will be responsible for the infrastructure design review process which is a gateway from design to starting build. This consultant will be assigned to a project and meet with the customer and generate a list of requirements for the project. They will then come back and work with the different groups at the data center, come up with a solution that fits the standards at the data center, and come up with a design for the project. The consultant will then give a presentation to the customer and different leads at the data center to go over the design. By that point, the design should be readily accepted by everyone but the meeting will give a member of the team to speak up if needed. They will then turn over the design document to another team to build it out. The consultant will also be involved in prototype development work to spin up environments in a lab on virtual hardware. They will also be troubleshooting issues as needed. This role is about 80% infrastructure architecture and 20% software architecture. The interview process will be a panel phone screen then a panel F2F interview. Top 3 skills are mentioned in the body of the requirement.

Summary: Responsible for the planning and implementation of comprehensive technology solutions that meet our clients' business requirements on high-impact projects. Provides guidance and architectural oversight during the detailed architecture design, application design, build, and testing and deployment phases.

Education/Experience
* Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
* 8-10 years of IT solution delivery, preferably playing a diverse set of roles (e.g. programmer, architect, project manager)
* Experienced with all aspects of architecture including application, data, security and infrastructure
* Experienced with program/projects involving complex integration of disparate types of technologies/platforms
* Strong experience (5+ years and preferably 10) with Web applications and Java is a must

Skills and Competencies:
* Deep understanding of the architecture discipline, processes, concepts and best practices
* Strong architecture design and modeling capabilities
* Solid experience with a variety of technologies/approaches including J2EE, .NET, mainframe platform, packaged applications, multi-platforms applications, human workflow, EAI, SOA
* Ability to apply industry/technical knowledge to provide solutions that increase business results and/or minimize risk regarding the integration of applications across multiple product systems and delivery channels
* Ability to quickly evaluate options, make decisions and execute within an intense high-tech environment
* Analytical and problem solving skills
* Strong documentation, written and verbal communication skills
* Interpersonal skills to be able to interface effectively with a broad range of contacts; from technical staff to management
* Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent activities and to work successfully under pressure

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Define end to end technical solutions that take into account the enterprise architecture strategies, current state environment and constraints; analyze the viability of the solution to meet program timeline, budget and quality
* Work with Data Architecture, Security Architecture and Infrastructure SME's to ensure that all aspects of the solution architecture are defined and elaborated
* Leads multiple technology groups and vendors to ensure that the application, integration, infrastructure and security architectures are designed to meet evolving business requirements, standards for reliability, scalability and availability
* Identify, recommend, source, negotiate and implement emerging IT trends, developments and improvements/solutions by buying, building or reusing
* Assist project teams with establishing standard process and defining all development infrastructure including servers, tiered environments, migration standards, and version control standards
* Provide technical support to IT management and developers to ensure efficient applications and adherence to standards
* Partners with other Enterprise Architects by: ensuring all deviations are identified and approved; identifying gaps in current standards/services and negotiating enterprise vs. project solutions and developing standard application architectures, frameworks and development standards

Top 3 Technical Skills Required:
1) Red Hat Linux (ability to architect and design solutions to include spinning up a development environment)
2) VMware (knowledge of 4.0 and the ability to spin up VM's and allocate resources like more memory, CPU and storage
3) Apache (the ability to help with tuning and be able to configure and set up a solution that would require Apache)
