Job Description: The Systems Engineer shall possess strong intermediate to expert level Sun Solaris & Linux system administration skills, including; paging, swaping, interprocess communication, thread allocation/management, performance management & analysis, device/driver configurations, server virtualization, transaction modeling and software deployment methodologies in a multi-datacenter scenario.Systems Engineer must collaborate closely with software engineers, security administrators and network administrators toward successful deployment of Encore software releases in a clustered, highly available technical infrastructure supporting phases.

Environment Engineer shall thoroughly diagram and document system configurations and comply with troubleshooting methods & procedures. Candidate must possess strong intermediate Perl Script and Unix Shell programming skills and have hands-on experience with monitoring and trouble reporting/management tools (BMC Patrol, CA Unicenter, etc).

Candidate shall have successfully implemented Sun hardware/OS/Dell Linux server infrastructures supporting real-time transaction processing in large scale comms/internet/IP application environment consisting of Oracle BEA Weblogic and Oracle RAC/SAN storage configurations.

Candidate shall also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Systems Engineer will be responsible for maintaining a high degree of secure server level access and account management.

Designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting the Encore dev and QA platforms, writing runbook and production support documentation, leading production deployment, troubleshooting of environments, providing database operations support.
