Infrastructure Engineer



Responsible for assessing, designing, implementing, and monitoring the server environment supporting the operation of the Novo Grid and iNexx environments.  This includes debugging server problems, writing scripts or code to improve support productivity, and producing associated documentation as needed.  Serves as third level support for server issues.  Supports 24x7 customer service help desk (on-call only, no shift work). Other duties as assigned.

Required skills:

*                  In-depth understanding of Linux ( CentOS, Redhat)

*                  Ability to configure and troubleshoot Apache Tomcat/Apache Webserver.

*                  Ability to configure Network monitoring.

*                  Familiarity with scripting tools on Linux.

*                  Familiarity with jsp/java a plus.

*                  Ability to configure and tune Linux boxes provided by Vendor.

*                  Familiarity with RAID and backup/restores on Linux.

*                  Ability to establish and document standards of operation and configuration.

*                  Ability to design and implement Alert Notifications.

*                  Knowledge of SSL Certificate implementation and management.




work experience requirements


*        3-5 years Linux software, implementation and support.  Java &  JSP a plus

*        Must possess solid technical skills

*        Must be a self-starter and be able to work in a dynamic environment

*        Good verbal and written communication skills

*        Network support/troubleshooting experience

*        Windows experience required.

*        Experience with healthcare environments a plus.


education requirements


*        College degree (BS or equivalent in engineering, computer science, information technology or similar)
