We're hiring a mobile web developer to help move KSU's main web presence (http://www.kennesaw.edu) onto mobile devices. Currently, KSU has a basic mobile site using the jquery Mobile Framework, but we're looking to expand beyond that.

As a mobile developer you will work with the campus webmaster to execute in the development of mobile websites and native applications. You are responsible for participating in the development of a mobile strategy for Kennesaw State and developing a technical framework for moving Kennesaw State's current systems into a mobile environment. You will work closely with the Distance Learning Center to develop innovative applications that will engage both on-campus and Distance Learners as they pursue their degrees. The successful candidate should possess knowledge of current mobile development trends and have experience analyzing and developing web-based systems, problem solving, and working with end-users to design and develop solutions that meet their needs. As a mobile developer, you will have the following responsibilities:

-Work with the campus webmaster to help create a mobile strategy and framework for Kennesaw State
-Maintain and enhance Kennesaw State's current mobile website
-Design and develop mobile iterations of existing enterprise systems
-Manage personal schedule of projects, deadlines and requests with little oversight
-Work with other developers to set standards and best practices for coding and design
-Translate user feedback and business requirements into onscreen hand-held devices and web user interfaces

The successful candidate should possess: 2 years relevant experience in consumer web/mobile development; front end development skills (e.g. CSS, HTML/5, JavaScript); the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously; and excellent communication skills.
