Senior Linux Systems Engineer
The Senior Linux Systems Engineer role is responsible as a Systems Administrator and Infrastructure Engineer supporting the various LINUX platforms across multiple environments (colocation and cloud) and various configurations.  This position is suited for a strong technical generalist with exceptional hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:

  *   Responsible for the architecture, installation, configuration, management/maintenance and security for Linux-based standalone and virtual servers, virtualization, and cloud environments.
  *   Responsible for associated peripherals (blade chassis, SAN storage, tape backup units, etc.).
  *   Monitor the environment and identify performance issues proactively.
  *   Participate in capacity planning/analysis and system implementation.
  *   Take lead working with the team along with external suppliers in troubleshooting, addressing system outages, and managing incidents to ensure system availability, performance, and stability.
  *   Create and maintain documentation related to data centers, systems, applications and networks.
  *   Work with global team members to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of The Client's network and services are exceeded.
  *   When required, perform site inventories and installations at various local and remote office and data center locations.
Key Requirements:

  *   BS degree or equivalent experience coupled with 7+ years' experience
  *   Expert knowledge of two of the following:
     *   Linux Administration (RHEL, CentOS, Oracle Linux)
     *   Configuration Management (Chef, Puppet, Cobbler)
     *   Virtualization (KVM, VMware, Cloudstack)
     *   Cloud Computing / IaaS (AWS, Azure, Rackspace)
  *   Solid scripting skills (bash, perl, Ruby for Chef, PowerShell, etc.).
  *   Backup planning, implementation, and maintenance.
  *   Storage Management (NetApp/EMC) experience beneficial.
  *   Experience with Postgres, MySQL, or Oracle (all three a plus).
  *   Ability to deliver results with minimal supervision.
  *   Ability to prioritize and complete a variety of simultaneous tasks.
  *   Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with a wide range of users.
  *   Ability to communicate technical information effectively, both written and verbal.
  *   Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage project details while balancing multiple priorities.
