Backpackaging rsync to RHEL isn't really productive.
This discussion grew out of a comment on how ancient the environment
of the master servers is and that the rsync daemon for example could
benefit a lot from a move to Fedora. And the Fedora volunteers that
will be managing the servers once they become Fedora controlled will
most probably be fluent in Fedora setups and not RHEL ones. New
volunteers will also come from Fedora and not RHEL.
So the bottom line is that machine and human resources will most
probably be better and productively invested.
And you get the "Runs on Fedora" sticker on the main Fedora servers as
a marketing bonus.
