May be unrelated, but the EPEL 5 mirror lists are odd.  If I go to
"/mirrorlist?...", I get my mirror (and only my mirror) listed.  If I go
to "/metalink?...", not only do I not get my mirror, I don't get
geolocated mirrors (I think all the returned mirrors are in Europe,
while I'm in the US).
