The changes you make take effect immediately, but the UI is somewhat broken in that TurboGears has cached (and is thus displaying to you) the old value. I haven't figured out how to eliminate this caching effect without also slowing other database queries to a halt. :-(

Subject: disable host bug in mirror manager
I want to take our mirror down for maintenance
Under Host I'm trying to uncheck
"User_active X Clear to temporarily disable this host"
However when I click "Save Host" the check comes back.
As a workaround I then checked
"Private X e.g. not available to the public, an internal private mirror"
And when I clicked "Save Host" it unchecked both.
I then went back to Site and User_active is checked. I clear it on this screen, click "Save Site" and the check comes back again.
I go back into the Host and User_active is unchecked and Private is checked. I'll admit I'm not at 100% today, but I think there's a bug in here.
