If you're just doing static pages and cgi-bin, I'd recommend lighttpd (<a href="http://www.lighttpd.net/">http://www.lighttpd.net/</a> ) rather than Apache, just 'cause it's easier to configure and works the silicon a little less. I use lighttpd in my raspberry pi class and it works great.<br><br></div><div>I dunno about a hotspot. Calyx ( <a href="https://www.calyxinstitute.org/">https://www.calyxinstitute.org/</a> ) might be ok interesting, although coverage on the high seas would be an Issue. In my class, I use a raspberry pi running dnsmasq ( <a href="http://www.thekelleys.org.uk/dnsmasq/doc.html">http://www.thekelleys.org.uk/dnsmasq/doc.html</a> ) to provide dhcp and dns services to a tiny local network unconnected to the internets. I'm using an old WRT54GL router to provide radio connectivity there.
