[ale] COMCAST NOW vs COMCAST Business

I did the comcast business for years so could get static IPs and run a
small server farm. EXPENSIVE!!
Switched to AT&T fiber. Much cheaper and WAY faster. I found both to be
rock solid reliable as long as no one took out a pole.
The regular comcast is often unreliable. I've heard it's very sensitive to
proper grounding and the installers never check. A metal pipe clamp is no
good if a pipe repair with plastic pipe is between the clamp and actual
metal pipe in dirt.
At one time, the bandwidth of the cable was divided by the number of users
in the neighborhood. Most often, people equate "no internet" with lack of
reliable DNS. That's the first thing to change. Try a google dns 8.8.8.8 in
your comcast box. And check if the lights are showing the system is
struggling. I don't know what that looks like these days. I've been on 1g
fiber now for 6 years. It is just fine for 2-3 work from home with video
conferences all day long and multiple vpns.
