[ale] AMD B550 and how to use HDMI on the mother board

Friends:

I had purchased the CPU AMD Ryzen 5 S2600 and memory from one of the
members on this group.  I had sent that and the motherboard AMD B550  to my
cousin in India

During my recent visit to India, what I found is that there has been no
progress on the computer build out.  When asked he said he put the CPU in
but the HDMI is not giving any display.

I remember at the time the CPU was sold to me, that CPU is not capable of
graphics and that I needed to get a sep video card.  I remember passing
this info to my cousin but it has been denied.  Anyways,  I brought back
the CPU and the motherboard with me and now I  plan to construct it back to
life.

Questions for the knowledgeable folks:

If I put the S2600 CPU, I need to put a sep video card, correct ?

Does that video card have to have HDMI port or can a simple DVI or VGA port
is good enough  ?  (I have a monitor with DVI connection)

I do not plan to use extensive graphics of that computer but plan to use it
to create VM's for usage.

Kindly advise.
