[ale] Godaddy Suxs!!!

My former employer owned hundreds of domains. We got many when acquiring
other companies.

Due to that I had to deal with many different registrars trying to get
control and migrate domains from them to our preferred registrar, Network
Solutions.

GoDaddy was a frequent impediment to doing such things though not the worst.
However, I never liked dealing with GoDaddy.

Network Solutions was fairly easy to work with from my perspective. There
was one point at which it was suggested that we migrate to another registrar
to save money. The suggestion was GoDaddy. I told my manager how hard
GoDaddy was to deal with and suggested we instead contact Network Solutions
about lower pricing. Not surprisingly, Network Solutions opted to give us
lower pricing rather than lose several hundred registrations.

The worst were the small companies that had done all in one website, domain
registration and other services. Some independent web designers offered
that and would sometimes take the position they owned the domain rather than
the company for whom they'd built the website. Usually threat of legal
action made them come off that position rapidly. However, often they were
"resellers" for various registrars so often getting the right credentials
from them to initiate registration transfer was like pulling teeth.

Yes GoDaddy Sux! (So does Network Solutions.) IMO dishonest and hard to
use!

I've used Hover for 14 years with excellent experience including great
customer service.
