[ale] MXLinux install issues

Friends:

I finally removed the SSD from my laptop with a special screw bit from
Husky that I bought at Home Depot.

I am trying to install the MXLinux OS on the laptop to a SD card.(8GB in
size)

When I try to install I see the following

Pic 1:  As you can see I am unable to select any device, when using the
entire disk.

Pic 2: In the second picture here, it keeps complaining about the root
partition.

Any idea how to fix this?
