Well, that was fun </s>; the ALE list is (finally) back up, and the settings on the list have been modified such that anyone who sends more than 5 messages in 2 minutes (120 seconds) will have the moderation flag set on their subscription so that something like this has less of a chance of happening again. If anyone's able to make a well-argued reason why this quota/timeframe should be adjusted, I'm happy to hear it; I just selected some random values & don't know how appropriate they actually are at the moment.
