[ale] How old is this list?

Well I don't remember when the list itself started, but I remember going to
an ALE organized conference at the Galleria in the mid-to-late 90s and
meeting the creators of the User Friendly comic strip. I'd have to bet the
list was going before the conferences, but it doesn't stick out as a
time-point as much.
