[ale] Suggestion for a Good Linux/Desktop

I am currently using kubuntu with the Plasma desktop. I've had no 
problems with it. I had read that the newest version is very efficient 
regarding processing resources. I don't know about Mac-like behavior. I 
think it's supposed to be very customizable, but I haven't messed with 
that.
