[ale] What do you folks think of this one ?

It's the first new laptop I've bought myself in 20 years. The xps13 I used at work was great for the 5 years I used it (clean the keyboard!). These systems have enough horsepower that even with code bloat they should provide good functionality for years. The case structure is tough enough to last for years. 

I've had some less expensive laptops and they are built as disposable tech. That bothers me greatly. I've had other well built gear I acquired used and got good, long use from them (an IBM Thinkpad was particularly outstanding).

I'm not older than dirt, but I'm getting there.
