[ale] Slightly OT: Independent Hotspot software for Android?

I'll have to try putting a Ting sim in my Google Pixel 3. For some reason,
I don't think a Pixel will do the 'lockdown' bit on the hotspot.
Personally, I use a USB modem. I don't like using WiFi hotspots at all.
