Interesting. I played with OC on BeagleBone Black 2 years ago. I use a Ctera devices that allows me to store some files to their cloud. They also have agents. OC at that time did not support this so I had to write some scripts. 

Using Inotify I wrote programs on the OC device that would feed files to box.com as they were updated. On my desktop I used Inotify and some program like rsync that would emulate Dropbox. The idea is to have a folder share between boxes that was like Dropbox with OC storing them locally and backup to box.com. Why? Some folks are concerned about hardware failure. I add theft to that list. Break into my house and take the device at least the cloud has my backup.
