I just finished switching my backup server from Debian to Void Linux.
This thing is usually headless, but sometimes I pick it up with a
SVGA/PS-2 KVM switch. Not only is this thing devoid of X so I don't
have to worry about X stopping it from booting, but it doesn't even run
a framebuffer, so that my KVM attached Samsung monitor can interpret
its output without trying all sorts of resolutions.

It boots reliably in about 8 seconds, because it runs only the daemons
and software it needs to run to be a backup server. If I need to
connect to it, I ssh into a CLI interface, and I like it that way.
