[ale] more reasons to avoid closed source tools

Some years ago I was at a meeting (could've been AUUG or ALE or
GATech or something in Montgomery AL) where Steve Bellovin was
speaking on this very subject, but his illustration was gcc.
IIRC he referred to it as something like "compiler poisoning."
