do that; get this:
[root at localhost yum.repos.d]# rpm -qa | grep epel
epel-release-7-5.noarch
[root at localhost yum.repos.d]# yum remove
epel-release-7.5.noarch
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, langpacks
No Match for argument: epel-release-7.5.noarch
No Packages marked for removal
