The Chattahoochee NRA has various trails that I like and they’re all close in town.

One of my favorites is off Northside drive (you can get their via Whitewater or Indian Trail – the trail connects either way)

If you want to drive for a bit the trail the trail to AmicalolaFalls is nice:

Arabia Mountain, just E of Atlanta off I-20 ( http://arabiaalliance.org/ ) Much more amazing than Stone Mountain. It's flat enough that there aren't fences to keep you off dangerous parts.

Good hiking trail not that long and interesting. Need to take family today out is my day off. Suggestions!
My first thought:
1. Kennesaw mountain
2. Stone mountain going up mountain.
