It's not trivial and would take some programming skills, but you could 
create a structure in javascript and use the TAFFY db 
(http://www.taffydb.com/) to examine, modify, sort, search etc. Examples 
on that page of creating, access and modify.  All the data can be 
contained in a single JS file.
