My device doesn't have wifi either.
Years ago, I tried to change the idiot default password ... called on Easter
morning at 5am for support and got to a tier-9 guy and we chatted for about 90
min trying to change the password - to figure out exactly what the rules where.
 It didn't support special characters or lengths over 21 characters.

Plus every day, it is reset when they push out updated router passwords (techs
join and leave the company daily). So ... at least back then, the only way to
have a password on their router maintained was to reset it myself AFTER the
overnight push update.  He was shocked too.
