I’ve used Veritas Cluster (VCS) on both Solaris and HP-UX and really liked it compared to Sun Cluster and MC-Service Guard.
I’m surprised you use it on Linux. Did you explore open source clustering before using VCS on Linux?

This looks like a really fun project. We use Veritas Cluster Server on RHEL and MCS on Windows. Both are configured for fault tolerance. I’ve never setup a distributed computing cluster. I know it’s not a cluster but I will install distcc on all the nodes to speed up compile times.
I’m also curious about the new F2FS file system since the NFS server will be using an SSD. I think I have to stick with GlusterFS though since this will be a cluster.
