[ale] help, windows 7 boot error

It was assumed that you understand that you need to make the image from the
original (old) drive first, then restore it to the new drive. If you
already wiped out your old drive before getting the new one working,
then... ??? Don't use clonezilla or other imaging tools, use the built-in
Windows tools. The Windows image is a different type of image then a
simple bit-for-bit copy, so it is more flexible than something like
clonezilla.
A Windows image doesn't care what partition it's on. When you restore it
will set everything up correctly. It sounds like you're making this harder
than it has to be. I suggest you start by assuming this drive is just
running Windows, then add Linux later as you did before. That small
partition before the Windows one is the Windows boot partition.
