[ale] Ruby for sysadmins?

There's a Ruby meetup in ATL that teaches RoR to beginners. They meet every
other Saturday at GGC. The classes begin in the fall, so joining now will mean
you are about 6 chapters behind. Catching up is possible. They use a good book
https://www.railstutorial.org/ and online environments for the class.  An older
version (2nd ed) of the book goes through setting up your own RoR dev
environment using rvm (best practice).

I'm willing to help folks setup their RoR dev environments at the GA-400 LUG on
Sundays.  There are other Rubists who are willing to help at their meetings too.
 The ATL ruby group is all over ATL, they have code-jams almost weekly
somewhere, training sessions, and monthly meetings.

Setting up the development environment can be hard for people
a) new to Linux
b) new to F/LOSS programming languages on Unix
If you are familiar with these things - shouldn't be too hard to do on your own.

Lots of Ruby devs put gists on github for all sorts of things - setting up a dev
environment is one of the most popular.  Google finds all these things easily.
