That's illegal, and can get you in trouble. From what I understand,
time shifting has been found legal, there's some question about format
shifting, but a lot of people do it.
But when one copy is retained by you, and another by someone else,
that's illegal copying. If I were you I'd either:
1) Keep every CD you ripped as evidence of ownership in case the RIAA
police knock on your door, or
2) Don't rip the CDs, give them to Goodwill without retaining a copy,
and just listen to your streaming services.
I'd highly advise you do one of the preceding two alternatives.
